Renude Beverage Co. was born in 2018 from one of the most popular wellness meccas in the world, Los Angeles. Rather than take on the cliche minimalist aesthetic (looking at you Goop), Renude’s founder Brandon Mizrahie created a cult culture around chaga through nostalgic, meme humor. Inspired by the 1990s, before Gen Z thought it was cool, we created a fun bubbly identity, complimentary emojis and a friendly pastel color palette to bring the entertaining tone of voice to life.

Formats for retail, e-commerce and direct-to-consumer with new product extensions

Renude was originally launched as a wholesale bag and single-serve packet sold around coffee shops in Los Angeles. As popularity grew, so did the coffee shops offering it as a menu item and stocking it in their shops. After expanding from over 100 shops in Los Angeles Renude starting selling their superfood coffee boost in New York, Chicago and Denver. During the pandemic, the brand started offering direct-to-consumer formats for people to make their own Chagaccinos at home. Since launching in 2019, the Chagaccino is still going strong the name has even become ubiquitous for mixing mushroom powder into coffee.

After the success of Chagaccino, Renude created another mushroom blend with matcha. We created packaging for the line extension and used a similar pastel color palette with emojis to play up the product ingredients.
